 Metro Rail Project

 A 25 Km long Metro Rail Project starting from Kalamassery and ending at   
 Pettah is soon to become a reality. Work is expected to commence 
 some time in October with the active participation of Delhi 
 Metro Rail Corporation.


 Smart City Project

 An ambitious plan that envisages the employment of over a lakh of IT Professionals is 
 soon to come up at Kakkanad on the outskirts of the City on the lines 
 of those found  in Europe and Middle East. It is hoped that this venture will 
 alter the face of Kerala.


 New Bus Terminal at Vyttila

 The Government in collaboration with the district authorities have drawn up a plan to 
 construct a new Bus Terminal at Vyttila with a view to reduce the 
 congestion now being faced by the city. The long distance buses would 
 end their journey at Vyttila.


 Vallarpadam Project

 Work for the Vallarpadam Container Terminal Project (VCTP) is progressing at a very 
 fast pace with the active participation of Dubai Port International.  
 The World's largest supertankers will be in a position to berth at the 
 port on completion of the project.
